Of special note are several original selections including the title song, “Moonshine Blues,” “Boardin’ House,” and “How I Know.” Also included are arrangements of “Little Mountain Church House,” Bob Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel,” and the Flatt & Scruggs instrumental “Shuckin’ The Corn.” While the performances are somewhat well-executed, they tend to be erratic in places—most apparent on the a cappella “How I Know.” Shortcomings are expected of a first-time endeavor and should be corrected as the band continues to gain experience.
